About April

April Saffold brings over 10 years of experience in the mental health and substance abuse fields, with a strong commitment to supporting children, adolescents, and families. She is dedicated to helping individuals overcome emotional challenges, addiction, and family struggles through compassionate, structured, and evidence-based care.
April believes that healing is possible when individuals and families are equipped with the right tools, support, and understanding. Her work centers on strengthening family systems, building resilience in youth, and addressing the root causes of emotional and behavioral difficulties.
April has worked across diverse settings including outpatient clinics, residential treatment centers, and school systems. In these environments, she has provided individual counseling, crisis intervention, and coordinated support for at-risk youth and families. This breadth of experience allows her to understand the complex systems that impact clients’ daily lives and tailor interventions accordingly.
A Warm & Structured Approach
April integrates evidence-based modalities including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Trauma-Focused interventions, and family-centered therapeutic approaches. Her work emphasizes skill-building, accountability, and strengthening protective factors within the family system.
She approaches therapy with warmth and structure—balancing empathy with practical strategies that promote measurable progress. April understands that healing often requires addressing both individual experiences and the broader family dynamic, and she works collaboratively with caregivers to create alignment and stability.
