Jalen is a Birmingham native and Licensed Associate Counselor dedicated to helping individuals of all ages navigate life with greater clarity, resilience, and confidence. While she has extensive experience supporting children, teens, and young adults, she works with clients across the lifespan—tailoring her approach to meet each person’s developmental stage, goals, and lived experience.

Jalen earned her undergraduate degree in Educational Psychology from Mississippi State University and her Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from the University of West Alabama. She has since had the privilege of walking alongside clients as they navigate both everyday stressors and significant life challenges. Her work is grounded in compassion, patience, and a belief that growth happens when individuals feel safe and supported.

A Collaborative & Steady Approach

Jalen takes an integrative approach grounded in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), and Interpersonal Therapy. She focuses on equipping clients with practical tools for emotional regulation, communication, and resilience-building.

Her style is collaborative and steady. There is no pressure to “fix” everything overnight. Jalen believes meaningful progress happens one step at a time and that healing unfolds best when individuals are allowed to move at their own pace.

Beyond the Therapy Room

Jalen believes therapy should translate into meaningful change in daily life. She equips clients with strategies they can apply at school, work, and within their relationships. Her focus extends beyond symptom relief to building confidence, strengthening coping skills, and fostering long-term emotional growth.

She is committed to creating a space where clients feel seen, understood, and respected. Her guiding philosophy is simple: life is not a race, and growth is most sustainable when it happens at a pace that feels safe.
